About Us
When Potomac Point Winery & Vineyard was founded in 2007, Skip & Cindi Causey set out to make exceptional wine complete with an immersive experience rich in European ambiance and Virginia hill-side beauty. Their vision of the perfect winery was more than a simple tasting room; it was a place to host, entertain, and dine amongst your friends and family. It is this welcoming, charming, and celebratory experience that drives guests and club members to Stafford, Virginia to enjoy the panoramic vineyard views, detailed architecture, and unmatched atmosphere.
Since 2007, over one hundred additional wineries have opened their doors in Virginia. However, Potomac Point remains one of the few Virginia wineries with an expansive structure and a fully serviced dining option. PPW has been fortunate to receive over one hundred different accolades since they opened their doors; from double gold wine medals to being voted “Best Winery” and everything in between.
In 2019 PPW acquired an additional ten acres to their estate. This new area was deemed Merlot Meadow when they planted over seven hundred new merlot vines in the spring of 2021. In total, PPW sits on twenty-three acres and grows varietals such as Viognier, Petit Manseng, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. Our owner, Skip Causey, currently resides as President of the Vineyard Association; leading the joint effort to promote the viticultural interest of Virginia.
In addition to their unique on-site experiences, Potomac Point also specializes in weddings & private events for up to two hundred guests. Over the past 15 years, PPW has been entered into The Knot Hall of Fame, voted best special event venue by Northern Virginia Magazine, and hosts over one hundred private events annually.

Our Team
Chelsea Sparaco is a George Mason University graduate with extensive experience in the event industry. A Northern Virginia native, she has honed her skills in the DMV-area hotel and wedding industries, executing countless weddings, events, and meetings before joining the Potomac Point Winery team. With a strong background that includes roles at Hilton Hotels, Wedding Magazines, and DC area wine bars, Chelsea brings invaluable expertise to our team. Holding a degree in Business Marketing and a minor in Tourism and Events Management, she excels in sales, digital marketing, and traditional marketing. Chelsea has been with PPW for over ten years and continues to drive growth and innovation, making her a key asset to the team.
Jordan has been with the PPW team in some capacity for over a decade! Jordan has worked behind the tasting bar, weddings, harvest, bottling and so much more! He has developed a passion for winemaking & grape growing and we look forward to his input and expertise in the years to come.
Katie is a seasoned hospitality professional who has worked her way up from team member to General Manager in the restaurant industry. With her passion for wine and over ten years of restaurant management experience, she is a great asset for our PPW team. Katie’s parents, who happen to be PPW club members, first turned her onto our little oasis. Katie resides in Northern VA with her family. 
Callie has been a part of the PPW family in various positions for the past seven years. She first found her love of hospitality while working at Disney World. A proud alumna of George Mason University with a degree in psychology, Callie’s love for learning found a perfect home in the wine industry. Post-graduation, rather than leaving the industry she had grown to love, Callie embraced a full-time role at Potomac Point. You’ll often find her exploring the vineyard with her dog, Elsa, or on a mission to visit every winery in Virginia.
