Potomac Point Winery is proud to announce that two of our employees have been recognized by the Fredericksburg Regional Hospitality Council this year. Callie Maietta was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Customer Service Employee and Jordan (Jojo) Compton was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Food Service Employee. The FRHC is a non-profit organization that focuses on promoting, preserving, and enhancing the characteristics that make Fredericksburg a memorable experience for the locals and our visitors.
Callie has been a customer Service Representative for us for a little over 2 years. During that time, she has been selected as Employee of the Year two times…making Potomac Point Winery history! Callie is known for her dependability and ability to take on whatever task she is assigned. When greeting our customers as they first walk into our winery she sets high expectations for the experience they are about to encounter, resulting in frequent positive customer reviews. Callie is also a full-time student working towards her master’s degree, and on top of that is a weekly volunteer with the local elementary school! Callie, thank you for your dedication and hard work. You deserve this award!
Jojo has been a Tasting Bar Attendant with us for just 9 months but has already made a lasting impression on not only the winery, but with all of our guests that have the pleasure of interacting with him. He is known for making guest’s experience here at Potomac Point Winery a one-of-a-kind experience you can’t get anywhere else. He spends time educating guests on our wines, to then match them with the wine that best fits them. Not only does he make our customers feel welcome, but also entertained. His enthusiasm and service has led to multiple customers requesting him to do their wine tastings. Jojo, thank you for continuing to give Potomac Point Winery its unique character we all love!
