Who doesn’t love Thanksgiving?  An ultimate feast with too many relatives and friends crammed into a hectic and utterly delicious- smelling kitchen.  We adore the time with family, stories being shared, everyone helping to prepare, then sitting down together to a delectable smorgasbord of goodies.  While this uniquely American holiday’s history has given us a fairly good idea of what to eat, they question of what to drink is perhaps not so easily answered.  To start, let us get one thing out of the way: There is no “right” or “wrong” wine to enjoy at Thanksgiving dinner.  The best wine is, simply put, the wine you like best.  However, there are wines that just might be more likely to excite your taste buds!  Our winemaker, David Pagan Castaño, has hand selected, which Potomac Point Wines will pair perfectly with which popular holiday foods:

  • Turkey: Abbinato, Coyote Cave Red, Chardonnay, Custom White
  • Honey Baked Ham: Heritage
  • Sweet Potatoes: Custom White
  • Stuffing: Merlot
  • Cranberry Sauce: Viognier
  • Mashed Potatoes: Abbinato, Coyote Cave Red
  • Pumpkin Cheesecake: La Belle Vie White
  • Mulled Wine (Grog): Goes with pretty much everything 😉

Don’t forget Potomac Point will be open from 11am-2pm the day before Thanksgiving, in case you need to pick-up any last minutes wine!
