We understand how important it is to share your big day with the one you love. You may be thinking about your soon to be spouse, but we of course are talking about wine! Here are some of our tips to incorporate wine into your big day.
- Love Letter and Wine Box Ceremony: This romantic idea allows you to share a unique tradition with your guests during your ceremony. The couple creates a letter that details all that they love about the other. They then seal them in envelopes and place them in a box with a bottle of wine. At some point in the future when the couple starts to face some trouble in the relationship, they open the box and read the letters while drinking the wine. This will help them remember all of the love that brought them together. Couples may choose to create their own box or they can be ordered from many crafty sites such as etsy.
- Wine Cork Place Card/Table Number Holder: This is a simple touch to incorporate wine into your wedding
theme. You can simply slice a small cut in each cork to place a name card. This is an elegant twist on the place card instead of doing the simple tent fold. IDEA: If you need to have a meal identifier on each place card, try something like what is pictured, and change the color of the flower to signify entrée choices.- Tip for cutting cork: Boiling the corks for 10 minutes will keep them from cracking or crumbling when you try to cut in!
- Guest Book: There are several creative ways to incorporate wine with the guestbook. One popular method of doing this would be to have your guests sign a cork with their own personal message. You can then display them in a large vase, jar, or even shadow box (pictured) to remember all of the guests who attended! Another creative method would to be to purchase some of you favorite Potomac Point wine and a couple of pens created for writing on glass and let your guests go to work!
- Other Wine Décor: Such simple pieces can be turned in to beautiful décor for your wedding day! Add a personal subtle touch to impress your guests on your big day. For more crafty wine ideas that you can incorporate on you big day follow us on Pinterest at www.pinterest.com/potomacpoint/
